QUESTION:
Michel Foucault
once identified the 17th century as an age of illusion. Using at
least three examples of work from the lectures or your readings discuss
some of the various ways by which Baroque artists introduced illusion into
their work and explain why they felt it necessary to ‘deceive’ the viewer’s
eyes.
